We at Miss pride ourselves in self empowerment and women being independent and self sufficient. But sometime we get caught up... in the mens/boys/other twisted web of deceit. So this month Miss is holding a contest to tell the BEST-er- the WORST break up story & also explaining why you can't stand that person. LOL ;D
Two winners will be chosen!
You have total freedom to write your story as long as it does NOT conflict with ANY FORUM RULES! Don't know the forum rules? Please Go Here to Read Them (Click on FORUM RULES)
Entry Rules:
- No Extremely Explicit Language
- No Graphic Details
- No Sexually Explicit Language & Details (Please believe we DO NOT want to hear the gorry details in that area)
- Stay On Topic. Try not to lose focus of the point your making. If we feel that you do lose focus, you'll earn less points (read below for details) therefore lessening your chances of winning.
- All Staff members except ADMINISTRATORS are allowed to enter in the contest. Overall, there will be one Judge (me) to determine who wins. However, if for some reason I can't choose who will win (since I believe you all will have great stories making it very difficult for me to choose)--- there will be reinforcements.
(yeah you already know I have tricks up my 3/4 sleeves)
- You can write your story in any form whether it be Essay, Fiction, Poem (extended), Song, etc.
- CATCH: (I had to make it difficult somewhat by adding a spin) you must add the word "DOGHOUSE" in your title as well as "MISS" 3 (three) times in your story!!
SCORING
You will be scored based on 3 aspects:
1. Develops a story that presents a forcused response to the writing assignment, making appropriate and coherent connections among all parts of the assignment.
2. Communicates clearly and effectively, using appropriate conventions of language (grammar, spelling, punctuation. Doesn't this feel like a school assignment? LOL)
3. Clearly expresses theme and rules set. Also effectively stating their part (personal experience) in the said conflict of the assignment. Therefore concluding their lessons learned in this matter.
If you can do that then you will receive a perfect 3 on your story and you and another 3 will win the contest! Simple!
Prizes will be announced at the time when winners are announced.
DEADLINE for this contest is Aug. 3, 2007! You have the rest of this month to come up with and type up something juicy!! It should be about a week or two before winners & prizes are announced.

EDITED: This contest is being CANCELLED due to few entries and no one really wanting to do it. Don't worry, another contest is in the works. Too bad too, because this contest would've earned the winners some really neat REAL prizes like one (1) NYC Creamey Lip Color & one (1) NYC Lip Gloss of their choice...
