Its a public forum and even if it wasn't- YOU DO NOT KNOW WHO IS BEHIND THE USERNAME AND SMILIES! I don't know who these people are... be safe (Its ten times better than being sorry in the long run) think safe, do safe things. Its never shameful for being overprotective of YOU- it IS shameful when you do reckless things in regards to your own safety! I want everyone on this forum to be safe- PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!
  
  
• HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY. If someone posts a thread that contains information that you could use, instead of posting "THANKS" or "THANKS FOR POSTING. THIS IS A GOOD IDEA." You should probably elaborate on WHY you think that the thread was a good idea (or not). The point of a message forum is for people from all walks of life to come together around one common like and discuss the topics presented and give their opinions. Although saying "THANKS" is highly appreciated, it is NOT always needed. So instead of insulting the thread starter with a quick 'thanks' and no feedback, either leave the thread without posting OR actually tell us what you think.

Pictures are NOW allowed. However, theres the whole size restriction thing.
But thats it. NO PERSONAL INFO!!!

Now that pix are accepted, that also means you can add them to your avatar or siggy. If you're a new member, theres a field that you fill out in the Intro thread that you'll start, where you can add the URL of your photo. But other than that, PLEASE NO PERSONAL INFO!!!

NEW RULE:

This has always been a rule... a rule of the net and ProBoards' T.O.S. But since EVERYONE on the net always copies and pastes things (never as there own) to show to other people I never took it seriously. So FROM HERE ON OUT...

Any article or news clip that you may find on the net (includes pictures and stories... ANYTHING) YOU MUST ADD A SOURCE LINK!

Meaning, you MUST provide the link to which you found the article, photo, etc.

I dont want anyone else sending me emails and messages talking about my forum being shut down because someone just copied and pasted copyrighted material.

If you want to copy and paste something you saw on the net... simply provide a link to where you got it from! EASY!

I know that for the most part, I mostly provide a link to the site in which I received my material from (you all know this) but from now on EVERYONE Is required to do so. (You all have always been required, its just so much common knowledge)

RIPPING/STEALING RULE

I've been notified today of a former member (who was deleted a few months ago) of not only RIPPING (stealing images that do not belong to the current user on their site as their own) Miss' graphics and placing them on her forum as her own BUT creating a FAKE MISS! (http://missez.proboards.com)

We at Miss do not take claims of ripping, stealing, copying of any kind lightly. Now because the image she used is an image that was posted on the forum for advertising purposes, I wont be so reluctant on taking the image down because if I do... then that image will become unavailable on other sites that that same image has been posted. But if you are caught stealing from Miss you WILL BE REPORTED. Copyright infringement is illegal. you can get sued. Now because I didn't USE A COPYRIGHT on any of my images... it could be a losing battle.

As a result, I need you all who create graphics to add some sort of COPYRIGHT to ALL IMAGES MADE FOR or POSTED ON MISS! That way people like the individual who stole from us cannot claim them as her own. Be it, a name or some sort of way to claim ownership or identity of YOUR WORK on the net.

As of today [November 2, 2008], any images that should be made for Miss ARE MANDATED TO HAVE A COPYRIGHT/NAME ON THE IMAGE. Whether its your nickname or the name of the alias in which you design under, please add something to it so that people like her cannot say its theirs.
