Web Of Decit. <-- clickie that!!! For six months, two Auckland girls were completely in love. Their boyfriends, their first loves, consumed their lives with text messages, emails, and MSN messaging. However, when the boys tried to lure them into a suicide pact, it transpired that these girls were on the verge of taking their lives for people who may not have existed. It seems like a far-fetched, one-off occurrence, but this story shows that is far from the case. We’ll introduce you to another young girl in a different part of the country who experienced almost exactly the same thing. It is disturbingly common - people falling in love over computer and cellular technology, then being drawn into sick suicide pacts. Pacts with people who turn out to be fictitious, usually invented by their friends. It’s a deadly game and so serious that teenage lives have almost been lost, yet the police say there is nothing they can do, as no laws have been broken.

Well I guess you have to understand at some point that the internet is just the internet... you can't take it too seriously (I mean unless you have a business invested in it) but as far as things like that is concerned, everyone has to understand that there is reality and then there is Cyberspace... the two should never meet. One is fabricated and the other is what it is. Once you've gotten that reality into focus, you'll know why it isn't cool to start online relationships because not everyone is who they say they are. That's why I never allow any of the members on this forum to post myspace, xanga, migente, piczo, facebook, etc. profiles which include personal info & pictures because this is a public forum, you never know who's viewing and can access any of that personal info and put any of you in harms way. I have to help protect my members the best way I can; take every precaution that I can to do just that.

yeah and that's totally awsome. yeah i could never do an over the internet relationship aye. it's kinda creepy thinking of what could happen to people. but to think one of your best friend's could do that to you aye. it's unbelievable. i've always been careful over the internet. just to think some creepy 50 year old guy could come on this forum and pretend to be a female or something not saying that that's going to happen or anything but it might. scaryness. but in other ways...i met my best friend over the internet....but that's another story [[:
