when i went to church i was a much happier person, but since i've stopped going i've become really unhappy.
i don't actually think i's religion, i think it's God. Yup, church is a group of people. While it's great to fellowship, always remember that God is what you are there for. He's the one that is always there for you, and no matter if you are in church or not, He will never leave you. And He can always make you happy. =)

I also don't think that it's religion that makes people happy.
Sure in some ways having something to believe in will make you happy, but if you're life is going to hell in a handbasket, is believing in God going to make it that much better?
I mean I just believe that things will get better, and eventually they do,it's how I get through it, but...I don't know.
I guess I'm not a religious person.

Hm. I`m not religious in the least, but from where I`m standing, no. Religions do not make you happy. Personally, I find religions restricting. I would`nt be happy if I had to go to church or had to follow a book for my entire life.
Of course, I wasn`t raised that way. If I was told when I was a child God`s path was right or whatever, then I would probably feel a sense of enrichment from God. He wouldn`t make me happy, but he`d lend hope to me, faith as well. Heh, I`m guessing that`s how I`d feel. nwn;
It all seems to hard for me to grasp; I believe, currently, that religions themselves are out of place. Human beings want to grasp knowledge, we`re intelligent creatures, so I feel religions were created by people many years ago who wanted to know how everything became what it was. Also because they feared death...? Hm, just my thoughts on how religions are fiction. Not saying they are, just my opinion. :'D

I don't think so to be honest. I mean; you can be a good person anyways without going to a church in my opinion. But that's just my opinion. Only god knows if it's right.

im an atheist i think. i believe there is something out there, some kind of God, but i dont believe in the whole christian thing, even though i was christened cause my family are christians and catholics, i dont really believe in that. i kinda believe in some kind of jesus, but not jesus, gods child. i believe in a man or woman for that matter that helped the people 2000 years ago and i believe that he or she will come back at some point. but that's it in my beliefs, i only need those beliefs to survive

I wouldn't call myself "religious." I would say, however, that I have a relationship with my God. I am Christian, and I am generally a happy person.
I don't think that people who associate themselves with a religion are specifically happy. I believe that those who have a real, honest relationship with God tend to be happier.
