ET has learned exclusively that Levi Johnston is going after Sarah Palin's old job as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska! It's all for his new non-scripted series, "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office," and we've got exclusive details!
The "docu-soap" will follow the headline-making, ever-controversial young dad as he embarks on a run for mayor of his hometown while co-raising son Tripp and attempting to tackle small-town politics. If elected, Levi promises to serve his full term. Lawyer Verne E. Rupright is the current mayor of Wasilla.
Levi hit the Teen Choice Awards this weekend with singer Brittani Senser by his side, and ET was with them in the limo as they made their way toward the L.A. event.
Levi spent Monday shooting a music video with Brittani, "After Love," in which they play sweethearts torn apart by her mother, but Levi insists, "This video is not about the Palins in any way."
Brittani agrees, saying, "I wrote it about a relationship that I was in years ago, and the whole disapproving mother thing was an idea that we had taken because it pertained to the end of my relationship. … The script wasn't even there when Levi decided to do the video. It just kind of all evolved."
Both Levi and Brittani add that there is nothing more going on beyond their on-camera chemistry.
It was just a few days ago that the former fiancé of Bristol Palin broke off their second engagement, and Levi told us that there won't be a third.
"We're just kind of on a break right now, going through a tough time," he said. "It's over. Nothing you can do."
As for Levi's coming bid for office in "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office," no reaction yet from the Palins…
