I was watching Tyra a few days ago, and they were airing a repeat of a show that she did where her guests (all under 18) were part of this new phenomenon called "Sexting". Apparently, Sexting is the act of carrying a sexual conversation with another person through text messages and photo messages on a cell phone. According to this article I read on Portrait, its Illegal too! I was wondering who's heard of this and what you think about it? |

HaHa Yeah I've heard of it. I mean me personally. I don't see anything wrong with it. My girlfriend and I we don't do "SEXTING" per say, but we be like awwww let's make out when we see each other, and sometimes other stuff I rather not mention. But, it's not just this "sexting" we talking on the phone and do that same thing, when we spend time together we do the same thing.
I really don't think it's that big of a deal and to make it illegal the Government still must have nothing better else to do.

Well the thing with this is, its people under 18 doing it! And in a sense it really is like Child Porn when you have a person, let's say 13, sending a text message to someone (whether they're the same age or not) you never know what happens to that message after you've hit "Send". And that's the point of the gov't stepping in. There are too many perverted pedophiles out there preying on children, how do we know that the person actually receiving the picture texts aren't minors? And even if they are thats a federal offense, you can go to prison for that.
Now for adults, I don't see the big deal either. But not everyone with a cellphone is an adult and so therefore, the gov't has to protect those who aren't.

I feel like reguardless of how many talking parents have with their kids, or schools try to protest for youth to do this this and that...that youth are going to do what they want reguardless...
Trusss me the hint gets to some people, but the majority no....I don't think it's wrong for teeangers to have sex, so let alone "Sexting" doesn't bother me....
