{From Yahoo! Shine} For months people have been speculating about whether "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul would return next season. The singer/choreographer finally put rumors to rest last night, announcing her departure on her Twitter page.
"With sadness in my heart, I've decided not to return to Idol," Abdul wrote. "I'll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day one become an international phenomenon. What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me...I do, without any doubt, have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all."
Abdul gave no reason for leaving the popular reality show, but her wacky on-camera behavior has led many to believe she would not be asked back. Her manager had even expressed his anger that there was no sign of a contract renewal. Hmmm... suspicious. Fox television has made a statement saying they are sad she has decided not to return for the 9th season, which airs in January. We wonder if perhaps this is all just a publicity stunt and Abdul will re-join fellow judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi after all.

Ok I'm hearing through the grapevine that they've replaced Paula with Spice Girl Victoria (Posh Spice) Beckham!!!
How do we feel about that???

I'm hoping that Paula comes back to 'Idol' because it isn't going to be the same with her not being a judge on the show  I heard that they are planning on having a few guest judges this season to replace Paula not being on the show. |

Then thats why Posh is on the show then. That makes sense. Because honestly, I don't think I could stomach to Simons in one sitting.  |

WHOA! I meant to say 'two' and not 'to'. Ok, moving along... Having TWO Simons on the show may not be a bad thing, actually, it might be a great thing for pushing "GOOD TV". HOWEVER, I'm thinking they're going to try to produce her into being the 2nd coming of Simon... with a VaJayJay that is. ;D |
