There are New Year resolutions that you should make, and commit to keep them. These are not the ones that you make on New Years Eve and break on New Years Day. These are ones that will make your life better if you do these everyday for the New Year.
Make someone's day more special.
Say something nice or do something nice to at least one person each and every day. The person may be someone you know well, or maybe a stranger on the street. You never know when you will say something that will make a difference sometimes kind words and gestures can change someone's outlook on the day. You could be the person that makes a huge difference in someone's life without even knowing it.
Make it a plan to save the planet a little at a time.
Recycle at your home. Maybe you won't recycle everything that could be recycled, but starting off small will make a difference to the earth. Cut back on Electric, and save some gas in your car. All these will help save the earth, and save you some money in the long run. This is painless to do and if everyone makes at least a small change the Earth will benefit for our children, and their children.
Make time for those you love.
Turn off the television and the computer, and spend that time to play a game with your children. Take some time everyday to actually talk and listen to your children or spouse. This is time that you can never recapture these moments no matter how hard you try don't let it pass you by. You only get that one chance to spend that time every day with your loved ones. While life is busy for all of us, we often neglect the ones that really matter in our lives. Tell them you love them that they are special to you, and what they mean to your life. Don't let them ever forget that they are special.
Help others when you can.
Do you have elderly neighbors that could use your help in the winter by shoveling their sidewalks? Can you help them out in the summer by taking the time to just sit with them on their porch and break up their lonely days? Do you live by a single mother who you know is struggling that would appreciate a few hours of babysitting service just to give her a break? Helping someone when they need help doesn't have to cost a lot of money or take up much time, but can make a difference to them.
Take time every day for the most important person in your life. You!
Everyone needs time alone to relax. Most working parents find this the most difficult to do. But spend time on you. You give so much of yourself to everyone else, and neglect yourself.
These are New Year resolutions that everyone should make and follow each and every year.
