Think before you speak

Guys I’m grounded!
Guys I have restricted freedom!
That isn’t bad compared to what we have around the world.

God, why do I have these bruises?
God, will I get abused tomorrow?
This is something no child should go through.

What! I can’t see my friends for a week?
When will I get my cell phone back?
Things like these are small compared to some children around the world.

Will I ever get a real friend?
When will my people receive freedom?
These are things that make people concerned

People in the city think they have it rough
With car accidents and lost cell phone reception
This is bad to what we have today

When girls get raped and killed the next day
Is something that brings concern to our world.
People get shot recklessly, falls out of order too.

The people in our world don’t think of what can happen.
A simple joke can turn into a disaster.
Making fun of a kid in a school, whom we might know will be the next killer.

I hate it when people say simple things like “oh my god I lost my cell phone”
No one thinks of the girl crying in the bathroom saying, “why did I get raped?”
I would just wish that people would think of others’ situations
Before they think of theirs.

I totally agree with this.

If people would stop worrying about whether or not they have free internet in their hotel rooms. Or whether they have Cell service where they are maybe they could start worrying about all of the people who are suffering for real every day.

So, maybe you don't have internet for a day, you aren't starving, you aren't dead, you haven't been raped, abused, or ripped apart.

Soo sad yet so true. people are so caught up on stupid things that they forget about the bigger picture. Most people only worry about what's happening in their little world, when really it's not as bad as what's going on in the real world.

Yea, it really.... sucks about how today has changed. In ones mind it's kind of like:

MONEY:: we neeeeeeeeeed this

then when it gets to this:

RAPIST:: how terrible, so sad. too bad.

Okay, maybe not exactly like that. but pretty darn close..

Yea, it is crazy how people see certain things. I am one who sometimes can go crazy if I lose my cell or $20 bucks..But, its not more so of me being selfish or unconcerned about what someone else is going through...its jus that I dont think about it at that time because I get to caught up in my own thing. But yea I am trying to learn that sometimes u have to look at the bigger picture
