YES!!! I've also noticed that its not a certain type of people that wear it either. Like for instance, I know that Hollisters target audience (the people that they target to sell to) is middle class/upper middle class, suburban, Caucasian, teen male & female around the ages of 14-19! I've seen everyone with those damn Hollister t-shirts on!!! I work part time at Aeropostale... I know for a fact that there demographics mimick that of American Eagle and American Eagle's direct competitors were... Abercrombie & Fitch who is owned by HOLLISTER! They all relatively have the same target audience. I see everyone wearing the clothes. Theres a shift in tween/teen fashion in the past few years I've noticed. Instead of everyone wanting to wear what mom and dad is wearing, they have created a style that you all identify with based off of simple things like what tv shows you watch or what type of music you listen to. American Idol, Gossip Girl, Laguna Beach, The Hills, The O.C. all shaped this influence of this style. And you kids just love it! ;D
Back in the day when I was coming up it was about Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Clueless, Blossom, Moesha, Saved By The Bell, California Dreams, shows like that influenced our fashion choices. And believe me... I dont wish to go back to that [era]- EVER! Lol.

I love Abercrombie (and Fitch, sometimes I go to the kids store cuz that fits me). I'm actually wearing an Abercrombie shirt right now! It's orange, and I just got it yesterday. I also go a polo from Hollister. But, I like all the stores, I've never been to Americna Eagle, though.
