OH YES. This is my favorite thing. Miniscule Frankenstein-footed twin Mary-Kate Olsen is joining the cast of the Showtime dramedy Weeds! We know what you’re thinking: “Holy sh*t… is she going to play the tiniest stoner in America?” And you’re close. She’s actually playing the tiniest Christian!:
Olsen will play Tara, a devoted Christian girl living in the newly developed megachurch community Majestic who becomes a love interest for Nancy Botwin’s (Mary-Louise Parker) son Silas (Hunter Parrish). Olsen will appear in 10 of the 15 episodes of the show’s third season, which premieres August 13.
Oh, this is so exciting! While far be it from me to school the writers on Weeds, I will put in my two cents as far as brilliant plot twists go:
Christian girl discovers that she hates God, loves pot.
The townspeople rally around her one episode, constantly asking if Ashley is still alive.
Silas seals the relationship in the bedroom department, only to discover the next morning that “Tara” (i.e. Mary-Kate) is only 7 years old.
The parish is rocked upon the discovery that one girl (Tara) has been starving herself, refusing to eat anything other than the body of Christ.
Can you say immaculate conception? Tara gets pregnant — meaning she ain’t barren!!
