Okay, not all frequent texters are all "NO I HAVE TO KEEP TEXING OR I'LL MISS SOMETHING!!!"
I text, like, all the time 5000-6500 outgoing about every month. Ad I do agree it has gotten out of hand, when people text when they drive, they are making one of the worse decisions. I text all the time without looking, so even I test how good I do when doing certian tasks. But never when I do something to risk my life. Smaller tasks such as, trying to beat the fridge with filling up my cup of water :DD

Anything that can temporarily take your attention away from something that you are doing and can pose a potential hazard and danger to yourself and the people around you, you shouldn't be doing. Exactly! The world is just focusing on texting because it is the most recent "simple yet dangerous" thing that could kill you. Each step you take out your front door in the morning has the potential to end your life. Each one. You never know, the sky could choose that day to fall! (Joking... XD)
Also, as an avid texter, I can assure you that not everyone tlks liek dis. ;]

Also, as an avid texter, I can assure you that not everyone tlks liek dis. ;] I think texting is such a big thing because its not like FATE or an INVOLUNTARY or FREAK accident that can kill you, you made a choice NOT to be 100% focused on something. Driving PERIOD should not be taken lightly. For instance, I hate being in the car with my cousin, because he'll start driving with his knee if she's tryna to connect his iPod or cellphone to a charger in the car!! That freaks me out. My point is, when he does things like that, he makes a conscious choice to have his attention diverted and nonetheless, take his hands off the wheel (which is crazy to me). I feel people take this too lightly... except for when there's an accident and its too late. (Oh and I know everyone that texts doesn't talk like that. I was merely joking. But if you really think about it, with SmartPhones like BlackBerry, iPhone, etc. do we really need to use short hand when there's a full fledged keypad??)
