"Paht-nah Lemme Upgrade You!"
Well, you know what they say, never mix business with pleasure... I think that if this does happen, this may be the end to the Jeyonce saga!! But you didn't hear anything from me...

With only two albums left to fulfill her Sony contract, Beyoncé Knowles is gearing up for negotiations at her label, or possibly skipping over to Def Jam-- which sources say she's considering. Either way, Knowles is in line for a big payday.
The New York Post recently revealed that the "hottest chick in the game" and her team of lawyers are readying for renegotiations with Sony that will likely be extremely costly for the label. However, if Sony BMG is unsuccessful in their bid to keep the pop diva, she is likely to land in familiar territory.
An inside source for the Post says Beyoncé's boyfriend, Def Jam president Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter would like to bring her aboard, "[he] has been trying to get her to Def Jam for awhile. He would love to oversee her career - he kind of does anyway."
Carter's interest in bringing the singer to Def Jam may drive the price up on Beyoncé, but it seems highly unlikely that Sony will let their girl get away.
"Sony has had a bad year - all the hit acts, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and the 'America Idol' kids, are all on BMG," the source told the Post. "They can't afford to lose Beyoncé. They'll probably mortgage the farm to keep her. Which means a lot more money for Beyoncé - and Jay-Z if they get married."
Late last November, Sony BMG dismantled the Sony Urban department, laying off a number of employees and reassigning their artist roster (which include Beyoncé as well as John Legend, DMX and Three 6 Mafia) to Epic and Columbia Records.
The label shakeup proved pricy for Knowles, who was forced to reach into her own pockets to pay for additional music videos for her album B'Day, after it was decided that "Listen" would be the final video Sony Urban would finance.
Good luck to Bee on her future at Sony/Columbia...
