Yea, kids in my geometry class [chip and ramsus(sp?)] kept on trying to make me talk. I smacked someone in my first hour.

a girl in my english class wore duct tape over her mouth all day with 'Day of Silence" written on it so she couldn't talk even if someone tried to make her.

My gay/ex gay friend (confusing) didn't know what it was about first period but once he found out he decided to do it too so he was quiet the rest of the day.

i thought that this was a great idea. It's great to just get the message out that even though many people are different in the world, we should respect them for who and what they are.

However, I'm curious, were there people in you guys' schools who didn't approve and did things to pretty much lash out against those who did participate?

No one tried to stop me but there were some students that thought that this whole idea was a joke and just not to cool for them.
