I usually have staple items in my closet, so I really don't need to make major changes with my wardrobe where that is concerned. So usually when the seasons change, the items already in my wardrobe are easily can be worn for more than one season! However, it hasn't always been this way. So What I would do is get a nice large suit case and separate anything that was trendy for the summer but not so much for fall (for example: Gladiator Sandals, Neon clothing, etc) and think of whether or not I'll be using it again at some point for the year following. If not, then its either going to get sold at a yard sale OR going to be given to the Salvation Army/Goodwill/Charity! Everything else (summer basics) will be packed away in the suite case for the following year. And then unload my Autumn basics from the year before.

Where I live there is going to be no fall one day it's going to be super hot the next it going to be cold and you never know we could get lucky and get some rain.
But, I leave everything in my closet and pick out whatever in the morning. Spontaneous...the best way for me, for others and organizing...good luck...
You can come do my closet...lol

I don't really have to change around my clothes for the seasons, since I just grab out whatever I think will be good to wear the next day depending on what the weathe is supposed to be like the next day.
